Emsculpt™ Neo Body Contouring Before & After Care

Emsculpt NEO is a non-invasive body contouring treatment that combines high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy with radiofrequency (RF) to build muscle while reducing fat. The treatment works by stimulating powerful muscle contractions beneath the skin, helping to strengthen and tone the targeted area. Results may vary depending on the thickness of the fat layer. When the fat layer is thicker, it can limit the intensity of muscle contractions, which may affect overall toning results. In leaner areas, results tend to be more noticeable, with improved definition, contour, and visible muscle tone. Please note that individual results may vary based on factors such as age, overall health, metabolism, lifestyle, diet, and personal goals. For optimal results, a series of 4 treatments is typically recommended. Maintenance is essential to sustain results, as muscle tone can gradually decrease over time without regular exercise or maintenance treatments.

Pre Care

Key timing and preparation steps to review before the EMSCULPT appointment:

  • Hydration: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your treatment to ensure your body is well-hydrated.

  • Avoid Heavy Meals: Refrain from consuming large meals at least two hours before your session.

  • Clothing: Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing on the day of your treatment.

  • Medical Conditions: Inform your provider of any medical conditions or implanted devices (e.g., pacemakers, metal implants) as these can be contraindications.

  • Avoid applying lotions, oils, or creams to the treatment area on the day of your appointment.

  • Avoid Metal: Do not wear any metal accessories or clothing with metal elements during the treatment.

  • Remove and avoid wearing jewelry on the treated area during and after treatment.

Please notify us before your appointment if you:

  • Have recently had surgery, injections, or other procedures in the treatment area.

  • Have any new medications, recent illnesses, or changes to your medical history.

  • Become pregnant or are breastfeeding.

  • Develop a skin infection, rash, open wound, or sunburn in the treatment area.

Post Care

  • Short term: It's normal to feel some muscle soreness/swelling, similar to what you might experience after an intense workout. Over-the-counter pain relievers can be used if needed.

  • Hydration: Continue to drink plenty of water after your treatment to help flush out the destroyed fat cells.

  • Physical Activity: Light physical activity, such as walking, is encouraged to aid the body's natural processes. Avoid strenuous exercise immediately after the treatment if you experience muscle soreness.

  • Balance Nutrition: Eat a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, lean protein, and whole grains to support overall health and help maintain your weight.

  • Stay Active: Incorporate a mix of cardiovascular exercise, strength training, and flexibility workouts into your routine to help boost metabolism and maximize the result.

  • Maintain a Stable Weight: Significant weight gain or loss can affect the results. Aim to maintain a stable weight through balanced eating and regular exercise.

  • Healthy lifestyle: Both smoking and excessive alcohol consumption can negatively impact health and overall body function and affect the result.

  • Follow Up: Attend any follow-up appointments as scheduled to track your progress and discuss any concerns with your provider.
